About the farm

Welcome Friend

We're two nature lovers who had a seed planted in our minds about starting a beautiful farm years ago. In 2022 the seed grew. We had the opportunity to transform a plot of family land into the magical place we envisioned filled with flowers, botanicals, heirloom veggies, herbs, pollinators and possibility. The feeling of starting with an itty bitty seed and watching it grow and transform into something that can nourish us, the land or a creature that lives on the land is quite addictive! We planted ALL the things (still guilty), and learned as we went. Some ideas flourished, others flopped, and every season is different (but hey, that's farming!)

What started with dozens of packets and bags of seed eventually blossomed into a specialty cut flower farm. The honeybees joined us in 2023, and the farm has been buzzing right along ever since producing unique seasonal blooms, wildflower honey and cultivated mushrooms. We also source thoughtfully curated finds from like-minded artisans for the Violet Sky Farm Shoppe to pique your curiosity and elevate your experience of life while nourishing your mind, body and soul.

At the heart of Violet Sky Farm is a deep appreciation for Mother Nature and the gifts she gives us daily that we are blessed to be able to share directly with you. We believe in working with the land, not against it, through regenerative and organic practices that nurture the soil, support pollinators, and restore beauty and balance to the little slice of land we are blessed to steward.

The name Violet Sky was inspired by those beautiful sunrises and sunsets painted in violet and pink hues, the ones that stop you in your tracks for a moment and make you say "look at the sky!" to whoever is around. That same sense of wonder shapes everything we create. We’re drawn to beauty with character: the whimsical, the untamed, the perfectly imperfect.

Around here, we believe flowers should spark joy, nature should be celebrated, and life is richer when we slow down enough to appreciate the little things.

We’re so grateful you’re here, and hope you'll stick around to evolve with us!
